Tick Tock Tick Tock

Officially 8 more days until my due date!!

And I am getting so impatient! I don't remember feeling this way with Sage. The waiting is much more painstaking this time! I'm just so excited! Every night I lie in bed, just waiting to feel that first contraction. And I know this could take awhile. I could even be pregnant in October. Ick! But it's so hard to think about anything else. Just waiting, waiting, waiting.

With Kale's arrival coming any day (hopefully!) our weekend plans and activities have really slowed down. I just don't feel like making elaborate plans or starting projects I know I can't finish. So we've been more spontaneous than usual. Which is a nice change for us!

On Saturday morning, we decided to take a tour of the CSU Trial Gardens. It was busting with color. The garden is mostly annual plants. All clearly labeled. A gardener's paradise!

Sage enjoyed running through the garden paths...but was much more excited by the bike tunnel connecting main campus to the garden. We walked through this a couple times. After our garden tour, the three of us dined at The Creperie and enjoyed a from-scratch French breakfast. This place makes the best French toast! We had crepes too of course. And then proceeded to stop by their bakery for some additional delicacies on our way out.

On Sunday morning, we continued to enjoy yummy breakfast foods. Matt made muffins and Sage helped!

And then we all enjoyed the final product together...in bed.

After breakfast we walked down to the neighborhood park. And Sage spent the majority of his time on his favorite spinning flowers. Such a crazy kid!

After nap, we inflated the bounce house.

Then it was time for a Sunday night pizza party! We tried a new place...Pablo's... and we were very happy with it! They had like 10 different veggie combos to choose from. Many of them featuring goat cheese - which I can't have until AFTER Kale's arrival. So we plan to go back very very soon.

The newborn-baby-to-do list continues to have items checked off it. I've washed all his clothes. I've sterilized all the pacifiers. And... thanks to recent changes in the federal healthcare laws....I was able to get myself a brand new breast pump totally FREE of charge! It was like Christmas morning when this arrived in the mail. This is a $350 breast pump - completely covered by my insurance plan.
How sweet is that?!?

Another to-do item that I'm quite excited about is my meal registry. Lots of my mommy friends recommended I try the service out. Friends and family can sign up to help feed our growing family. They just select a date on the calendar and then plan to either cook and deliver a meal, or have a restaurant giftcard sent. This will be so helpful to us as we adjust to life with two kids. If you're interested in what a meal train looks like, or would like to help nourish us, then please check out the link here:  http://mealbaby.com/viewregistry/17838925

And hopefully I'll have some good news to share soon!
