This past weekend I wanted to try out a local play-place called Cool Beans. So on Saturday my friend Ella, and her 4 month-old daughter Haddie, met Sage and I at the facility. While there was really nothing for Miss Haddie to do. (Sorry, Haddie!) There was lots to entertain Sage!
Cool Beans is a large indoor play-place modeled after a treehouse. The room offers lots of different play stations. Areas to slide and climb, a ballpit, and lots of themed activities. Sage is fascinated by anything new. New people...new toys. Needles to say, he was happy! We stayed for a little over 2 hours.
What really makes Cool Beans a nice place for families, is their full service coffee shop and cafe. I had an incredible caprese panini with homemade balsamic vinagrette. I was impressed! So while I dined on delciious food, Sage burned some energy. Win-win.
The minature grocery cart was adorable! Sage pushed it back and forth, back and forth. It was typically empty, but every once in a while, he would toss in a lost fruit or vegetable. We spent a lot of time in the "kitchen" section of the room.
Taste-testing his soup.
Chicken noodle?!?! He's certaintly got enough bird!
Feeding the baby.
Selling proudce at the market.
Sunday was more of a quiet day. Matt and Sage were both showing signs of sickness. No fever. Just head colds.
Matt had it worse.
Sage was a bit ornery on this day. He was getting into everything and he was challenging to entertain. So I fished my old set of blocks out of the basement. These were made by my grandpa for me when I was just a toddler, constructed in 1986. I, and all my siblings, played with these. They are scratched and scribbled on. Well-loved, you could say. Sage wasn't entertained for very long. But I do give myself props for trying!
Wow, Sage! Impressive tower! You've got some major building skills, little man!
(Ok, ok. You got me. I built this tower. But Sage did do an excellent job knocking it down!)
