From Sun To Snow

A hot and sunny Friday afternoon!
Sage and I had so much fun in the backyard.

Collecting "fuzzies" from the blooming tree in our neighbor's yard.

We filled up the sand-and-water table for the first time this season. And he played at that table until the sun set! He wasn't nearly as interested in it last year...but this year that is his favorite thing to do in the backyard. He begs for it! For hours....literally hours...he stood there digging around in sand and water.

And then on Saturday...the weather changed. Of course it did! It was cold and overcast. And I was grumpy about it.
But we pushed on.... and took Sage to The Farm.

We tried on several attempts to make Sage feed the animals, but he didn't particularly like it. I think it was a bit scary and icky for him.

He much preferred playing with the water pump.
This kid loves water!

He's still too young for a pony ride. But what a great way to celebrate his 2nd birthday this summer!

He also loved sitting on the tractor.

Look at that face! I love that face!!!!

This was the only pony Sage could ride that day.

Saturday evening, we had more events scheduled.
Lainey and I planned a lovely "Moms Night Out" for ourselves and went to the Melting Pot for cheese and chocolate fondue! Meanwhile, the dads watched the babies back at the house.

The guys ordered a pizza extravaganza for themselves - including two medium pies, bread sticks, and cinnamon sticks!

As we moved into Sunday the weather got even worse.
We woke up to a layer of snow on the ground!

Sagey loves his Nico.

It continued to snow all day long.

Then Sage decided it was time to go play in it.
He dressed himself!
But he forgot something very important...
His pants!

So daddy helped him bundle up.

And then they went for a sled ride!

And on Monday morning it was sunny again.
Arghh!!!!!!
