Sage started off his Saturday morning playing with his letter magnets.
He then challenged his daddy to a wrestling match.
Sage won!
Look at all those teeth! He just had two more fully erupt, for a total of 12. And there are two more on the way. Which means he'll soon have 14 teeth. That seems like a lot. (Do I even have 14 teeth?!?!)
We've been talking about getting Sage's hair cut soon. His bangs hang in his eyes much of the time.
Tunnel fun!
On Saturday evening we were invited to join my friend Cassidy's birth class meet-up. 8 toddlers! Can you imagine!?!? Kid were running wild everywhere! It was a lot of fun.
We started with 7 babies on the couch. That lasted only 3 seconds.
Then there were 5.
And then there was 1.
Sage enjoyed hanging with some new friends.
And reconnecting with old friends.
There was even a dog at the party!
Sage spent the majority of his time in this area, reaching over the babygate to gives kisses and pets.
Baby meet-ups are great places to share advice, support, and funny stories. It's also a great place to get your first black eye! Poor little Sage arrived at the party with a blemish-free face, but left the party with a huge shiner. How, you ask? He tripped and fell on a tiny metal garbage can. The rim left a black and blue streak across his face, from his upper cheek to his inner eye. Everyone at the party heard screaming coming from the bathroom... Sage and I eventually emerged. Sage bruised. Myself mortified.
On Sunday we spent some time romping around the yard.
I also rummaged through some old memory boxes and found the coolest letter from my Grandpa John.
Written in 1984. The stamp cost 20 cents!
Sage and Matt taking a trip to the mailbox.
Our little dare devil dancing on the coffee table. I can't tell you the number of times I say "no" in a day. He has no fear. He is so wild! His #1 goal each day is to climb on everything and to climb higher than he did the day before. He's nuts! I've caught him pulling out all the drawers of the dresser to use as makeshift stairs to get himself to the top. He climbs his highchair. He climbs the banister. He climbs his bookshelf. Everything.
On Monday, daycare was closed. So was the bank. Matt and Sage spent the whole day together. They went to the park!
A good shot of Sage's black eye.
And today...I am proud to announce...that the language bomb has exploded!! Sage is talking! Several words were debuted this weekend. Pretty much all at the same time. Sage can say the following words and phrases now:
dirt, catch, yuck, duck, cat, dog, and my favorite....night night.
And for those of you who enjoy my CSU blog, here is a link to that page. I continue to post every week. I have posted 10 times so far, but I sometimes forget to attach the link for you all.
But alas...here it is today!
