Daddy's Birthday

On Saturday, Matt turned 33! And we had a blast celebrating with him. Sage was all about the birthday gear. He wore his cone-shaped hat nearly the entire day. And we couldn't pull him away from the noise makers!

Matt woke up Saturday morning to a kitchen full of surprises.
For breakfast we had giant cinnamon rolls from the Silver Grill.

We then had to pause the celebration, as we had a visit from an insurance adjustor planned for the first half of the day. Due to that recent hail storm, we now need a brand new roof, along with many other minor repairs. But I guess that's what insurance is for!
Finally, once the business was taken care of, we headed out for lunch.

We went to 415, one of our most favorite restaurants, and sat on the back patio right next to a water fountain. We kept Sage entertained by giving him pennies to throw in the fountain.

Then it was time for more noise making!

Sage looks like he had one too many drinks in this last shot.
Kind of like your Great Uncle Albert after a late night of partying...

For dinner we ordered out sushi and stirfry. Yum!

Then it was time for dessert. Since Matt didn't specify what kind of cake he wanted, I opted for an assortment of mini treats. We had tarts, cheesecake, turtles, and much more.
A smorgasbord of awesomeness!

On Sunday was met up with Toni-Lee, Dan, and Josie and went for a dip in their community pool.

I sure wish we had a private pool in our neighborhood!

On the short walk back to their house, we stopped at a park and let Sage run through the water fountains.

Tuesday evening we did some spontaneous art. I was busy making tacos and was desperate to entertain Sage. Together Matt and I brainstormed an easy and fun project. Black construction paper, a glue stick, and some cookie sprinkles can create some cool pictures!

Our gorgeous finished products!

And now a belly update. Here I am 30.5 weeks pregnant. And feeling huge these days! Sometimes the baby sticks his foot so far out I can actually wrap my hand around it. I'm starting to question if he's going to stay in there for 9 more weeks!

Below is a picture of me at 25 weeks.
Amazing what a month can do to you!
I certainly have expanded since then.
