I took the day off work on Friday. My parents would be arriving in Fort Collins around noon. It was a beautiful 55 degrees that day. So, Sage and I took a quick walk around the neighborhood before they arrived.
Uncle Jack and Nephew Sage.
Grandpa Bill and Sage did lots of bonding this past weekend. Sage was fascinated by him. I witnessed several giggle episodes.
On Saturday, Sage, Jack, my mother, and I went to the park. It was a sunny and warm day. Sage tried the swings for the first time!

On Sunday, the whole family walked to Doug's Day Diner for brunch. It was much more frigid and windy than expected. Sage was a good sport on the walk. I felt a bit guilty about exposing him to the cold weather, but we all quickly defrosted soon after arriving.

We all could have used a couple more layers.
Sage and mom enjoying a delicious brunch. The pancakes were AMAZING!!!
Later in the evening on Sunday, we celebrated Jack's 18th birthday. Sage happily participated in the festivities.
On Monday, the Kansas folks headed home. The long holiday weekend gave Sage a chance to bond with his grandparents. It will be a couple months before we can get the gang together again. We closed out the fun weekend with a much needed bath.
All soaped up.
He's so chunky!
Who knew that vegetarian breastmilk would be so fattening!
Sumo Baby!!!
Here is how I found Sage one evening after work in his crib at daycare. This is a new position! As a newborn, he was swaddled and slept on his back with his arms straight by his sides. When we unswaddled him at 4 months, he slept on his back with his arms straight up by his face. Now he is 6 months old and starting to sleep on his side. And I love how his foot is sticking out through the crib bars. :)
