Battling Sleep And Booger Problems

He was all smiles on this particular afternoon!!

Sage has stopped sucking his thumb, and he has very little interest in pacifiers. I think I've got this kid figured out and then he suddenly changes his patterns. His new passion is sucking on his entire hand - all five fingers at once!

I'm in love with that profile. Such a cute button nose.....

Sage's favorite place to be is always up in somebody's arms. I think he likes the bird's eye view. However, he weighs nearly 18 pounds! While my arm strength has no doubt increased over the past 4 months, I can only hold this chubby baby for so long.

We have discovered an amazing product! The Nosefrida! This is a marvelous snot sucker! Don't worry, nothing actually makes its way to your mouth. There is a filter to prevent that from happening. Poor Sage has had a stuffy/runny nose since he started daycare in early November. We finally figured out how to help alleviate it. We were having no luck with the bulb-shaped booger suckers. But this thing can really get the job done!

Sage is 20 weeks old and just days away from his first Christmas! Unfortunately, we have been having a rough week. Sage hasn't slept through the night in about a month. I didn't know how lucky I was! He had been sleeping 8 hours stretches very early on, but that luxury is a thing of the past. Sage now commonly wakes up at 3:30am and 5:30am for milk. And lately, he has been fighting us on his bedtime. In the crib, out of the crib. In the crib, out of the crib. For hours we play this game. Last night he wasn't asleep until 11:30pm. Mom is tired!!! All of this is in addition to a weekend-long fever and heightened fussiness... most likely due to the vaccines he received on Friday. Let's hope in a couple days my happy, easy-going, giggling Sage will reappear. :)
