Sage is three weeks old today. I'm sad he is growing up so fast. But at the same time, I'm really looking forward to all the milestones ahead. I can't wait for him to start smiling!! His awake/alert times are already getting longer. He makes great eye contact. And he responds to my voice. I can also see that he is putting on weight. He looks older and bigger to me.
On August 17th, we had our first pediatric appointment since the birth. He weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces...a whole pound more than what he weighed at birth. His newborn-sized outfits barely fit anymore. But he's still too small for the next size up.
In general, everything is going very well. Sage eats aggressively. He rarely cries. And he is so dang cute! However..... Matt and I are having a very difficult time getting enough sleep. That is our biggest obstacle at this time. Sage is very noisy at night. He grunts, he groans, he moans. The doctor assured us these are normal sounds.... and that Sage is simply getting used to his digestive system. :)
